A noted explorer, adventurer and skilled technical/remote location project manager, Mike has worked in or traveled through over 190 countries, led several expeditions to both the North and South Poles, as well as climbed on each of the seven continental summits. Initially trained as a Fireman in Los Angeles County, California and later as an airborne crash/rescue crew chief for the US Army, he thereafter moved on to expedition management and extreme environment logistics and business development. Mike was educated at the University of Redlands (interdisciplinary B.A.), and attended Chapman University Graduate School of Administration, (both in California). He also holds an M.Phil. in Polar Studies with special focus on ‘Applications in General Systems Theory’ from Cambridge University (UK). Mike currently resides in Mundelein, Illinois.
